DAVID

ALEX

ALEX

DAVID

[Alex picks up a photo from the box.]

ALEX

(Shows a photo of them as kids)

DAVID

ALEX

DAVID

(A hint of a smile)

You fell in trying to catch one.

[Silence falls. Alex sets the photo down.]

DAVID

(Interrupts)

ALEX

DAVID

ALEX

DAVID

[Alex takes a deep breath.]

ALEX

I was a kid, David. I couldn’t handle it. And when I looked at you, all I saw was him.

DAVID

I was a kid too. But I didn’t have the luxury to run.

ALEX

I know. And I’m sorry. I left you to handle everything. I was… selfish.
